Upper Hunter property sold before the bidding started

12 Mar, 2010 10:33 AM
THE Upper Hunter autumn selling season has got away to a strong start with the sale pre-auction of “Shannondore”, Bunnan by Scone agency, MacCallum Inglis.

Owned by Hilton and Pauline Carrigan, the 587ha farming and irrigation property with 345ML of river and bore licences was listed for auction on March 12 with expectations of $1.7-$2m, but has sold for an undisclosed price to a buyer from the Lower Hunter.

Ranging from alluvial flats (with 20ha of developed irrigation) to basalt hills, “Shannondore” has a weatherboard home, sheds and cattle yards.
