GGA seeking new directors

17 Nov, 2008 05:57 PM
The Grain Growers Association is seeking nominations for two board directors for Zone 1, which covers Queensland and northern NSW.

Nominations opened today and will close on December 15.

"Directors in Zone 1 are up for rotational retirement as set out in the GGA constitution," GGA chairman John Eastburn said.

According to the GGA, members wishing to nominate for the Board need to reside in Zone 1 and should have a broad understanding of the business context of the grains industry, technical expertise in grain growing, investment management, business management skills and a solid understanding of corporate governance, as well as the right set of personal attributes to make a positive contribution to the board.

* Anyone interested in nominating should contact GGA on 1800 620 519 or email membership@graingrowers.com.au to obtain the relevant documentation.
