Persistence finally paid off for young Cootamundra Hereford breeder, Adam Manwaring, who claimed the title of 2009 Sydney Royal grand champion beef cattle parader on his seventh attempt at the Royal.
The 17-year-old, who runs his own small Mad A Hereford stud alongside his family's Rose-View Hereford stud, fended off a strong field of more than 140 competitors, across three sections, to claim the win and will now represent NSW at the national final at Hobart Royal in October.
Adam won the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) of NSW/Agricultural Societies Council (ASC) Beef Parader State Final champion title, to qualify for the grand championship, representing ASC Group 9 South Western.
