Owned by Philippa and Benoit Ernst, Coricancha Alpacas, Napoleons, Victoria, Coricancha Isidora, was their shining star at the show.
"It's 25 years of breeding which have just gone to a pinnacle; it's a very prestigious show to win," Mr Ernst said.
"I was hoping my little girl, Isidora, would win it, but generally the judge doesn't give it to a junior or intermediate, a young animal, and she's only 13 months and when they turned around to go to her it was fantastic."
This was a first showing for Isidora, who is a product of line breeding.
Mr Ernst said it was a practice that wasn't always popular, but because alpaca genetics were so spread out he was trying to reduce the spread.
