 Ancor back with flourish

Ancor back with flourish

15 Apr, 2009 12:32 PM
Bathurst's Ancor stud stole the show in the Angora ring, taking home five broadribbons.

Judge Darrell Bishop, Osory Angora stud, Mudgee, praised the high quality of goats, noting their good confirmation and mohair production.

Entries came from studs across the State, including a number of school entries.

In the past couple of years Debbie Scattergood's Cullbookie stud, Bungendore, has dominated, but this time around quality animals from the Ancor stud impressed Mr Bishop in the junior and senior female and male classes.

Ancor owner, Andrew Rathbone, said he was pleased with the results because every exhibitor hoped to walk away with broadribbons.

Comprehensive Sydney Royal coverage in The Land, April 16 and 26.
