HURLSTONE Agricultural High School has been listed on a National Trust register as pressure mounts on the NSW Government not to sell the school's land.
The NSW Education Minister, Verity Firth, should receive a report about the possible sale of Hurlstone's land on Friday in the wake of an inquiry led by former NSW Farmers Association president, Mal Peters.
Mr Peters' findings are expected to be made public next month when students have finished Higher School Certificate exams.
As much as 140 hectares of the 160ha Hurlstone could be sold by the NSW Government for residential housing depending on the outcome of the Peters inquiry.
A decision by the National Trust's Historic Buildings Committee to put the school on its heritage register is likely to make any land subdivision more difficult.
