BETTER known to most people as a historic sheep run, Tubbo Station near Darlington Point, NSW, will this winter grow about 2000 hectares of irrigated cash crops.
Tubbo Station is the geographic centrepiece, and production powerhouse, of the six-part portfolio of prized Murrumbidgee River properties now for sale by Four Arrows.
The others are “Tahara South” and “Tahara North” at Wagga Wagga, the adjoining “Binnowee” dairy property, the “Belvedere” almond farm adjoining “Tubbo”, and the “Toronga” aggregation at Hay.
All up, they represent a 77,000-hectare package of grazing, broadacre farming and intensive agriculture, underpinned by river and bore water entitlements totalling 59,000 megalitres.
This is the mammoth sale package now inviting tender bids – for the whole, or component parts – by a closing date of June 10 with selling agents, Meares and Associates of Sydney.
Based on realistic assessments of the current market, the portfolio is expected to attract offers from institutional and other investors in a range upwards of $150m.
