THE NSW Farmers Association eagerly awaits the release of the Federal Government’s review of the social impacts of drought.
The Drought Expert Social Panel was due to submit its report to Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Tony Burke today.
Association president Jock Laurie said his organisation lodged a detailed submission.
“The association has put forward a range of ideas aimed at addressing the ongoing challenges facing mental and physical health, families, education and training, community development and sustainability, employment and professional development and social support services,” Mr Laurie said.
