Fears of DPI funding cuts in mini-budget

22 Oct, 2008 06:12 PM
The NSW mini-budget is due out November 11 and the NSW Farmers Association has called for an end to the cuts to agricultural and rural funding.

The Association's president, Jock Laurie, said the Department of Primary Industries has already absorbed a number of funding reductions.

He said many country roads – not solely the main arterial roads – needed upgrading.

The NSW Government is looking to plug a $1 billion black hole.
