Nagy Bensid given European leadership of AWI

27 Jun, 2008 09:42 AM
AWI has appointed Nagy Bensid as the head of its European branch, based in Paris.

Mr Bensid, 51, has taken on the role of regional manager, Europe, after an impressive career in the French and international wool industry.

A graduate of ESCP/EAP, Mr Bensid accepted a position within the Prouvost group. He started his career specialisation as a general manager for Chargeurs wool and more recently of the Dewavrin group.

Mr Bensid has also held several industry positions, including membership of the executive committee of the International Wool Federation.

His appointment is part of AWI's renewal strategy to maintain wool's position as fashion’s number one, high-end fibre.
