India's Mahindra Tractors continues to expand its range in Australia, unveiling its most powerful machine to date.
Its 4WD 8000 model packs a 60kW (80hp) punch and is earmarked for basic farm chores such as primary and secondary tillage, livestock operations, crop protection, slashing, haulage and loader applications.
Mahindra says a 'special' price is valid to July 31, or while stock lasts.
This sees the new 8000 unit priced at $34,400, inc GST, rising to $42,900, inc GST, when teamed with its loader.
Productivity is enhanced by offering features like a high torque engine, shuttle shift/synchromesh transmission and a heavier chassis as standard. Overall tractor weight is 3042kg.
A turbocharged engine delivers 292Nm of grunt to maximise productivity in both PTO and draft applications.
The synchromesh facility is said to provide smooth on-the-move shifting, with the standard 12F/12R transmission maximising performance with a choice of speeds.
And a dedicated left-hand synchronised reverser will come into play during loader and headland operations. The 8000's rear axle has large oil-cooled disc brakes coupled with heavy-duty inboard planetary reduction units.
Meanwhile, the front axle's limited slip differential and planetary reduction, plus hydrostatic steering with a tight turning angle is seen as another plus when maneuvering in confined areas.
The tractor is available with a factory fitted loader as an option.
