New Oilseeds Federation president

LONG-TIME South Australian canola researcher Trent Potter has been elected as president of the Australian Oilseeds Federation (AOF) for a three-year term.

He replaces Robert Green, Cargill Australia.

There will be two vice presidents, Mr Green, and a new appointment, Rob Wilson, canola research manager with Pioneer Hi-Bred Australia.

Dr Potter is a senior research scientist and has a long involvement in canola research and development.

Among his projects has been agronomic research into canola and disease management, specifically blackleg.

The remainder of the AOF Executive elected at last week’s AGM are as follows:

Charles Aldersey- Treasurer,

Adam Davis- representing the refining sector;

Maree Crawford- representing the sunflower industry;

Rob Dickie- representing the export sector;

Steve Marcroft- representing the canola industry;

Denis M’Gee- representing the soybean industry;

Mike O’Hare- representing the grower sector;

Richard Orton- representing the stockfeed sector;

Jon Slee- representing Oilseeds WA.
